Several committees are looking to advance President Donald Trump’s energy and environment nominees this week, as numerous other picks await Senate floor action.

The Energy and Natural Resources Committee will question Leslie Beyer to be assistant Interior secretary for land and minerals management, Andrea Travnicek to be assistant Interior secretary for water and science, Theodore Garrish to be assistant energy secretary for nuclear energy and Tristan Abbey to lead the U.S. Energy Information Administration.

Beyer, who has deep ties to the oil and gas industry, would help oversee the nation’s vast energy programs on public lands and waters. In other words, she’s in line for a central role in the president’s energy dominance agenda.
