President Donald Trump’s first judicial nominee of his second term has opposed rules aimed at requiring companies to disclose their climate footprints.
On Friday, Trump nominated Whitney Hermandorfer to serve as a judge on the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.
In a post on Truth Social announcing the pick, Trump lauded Hermandorfer’s record litigating to “protect Citizens from Federal Government Overreach.”
“Whitney is a fighter who will inspire confidence in our Legal System,” Trump wrote. “Thank you Whitney!”
